Therapy Dogs INT.
Community Outreach:
Therapy Dogs International (TDI®) is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registration of
therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and
wherever else therapy dogs are needed.
Down Home Dog Training boasts a special TDI Therapy Training Program designed to prepare handlers, and their dogs, for volunteer work in the form of Pet Therapy. The program is an immersion course that preps teams, not only for a passing score on the certification test but also for the volunteer work that will follow. Below are some of the organizations that benefit from our Pet Therapy Program:
The Madison House, Senior Living Home
The VA Medical Center
Give Kids the World Village
Discover Academy

Pack Walks! Down Home Dog training is proud to feature bi-weekly pack walks to unite good dogs in our community!
Join us every other Wednesday at 7:00 pm. We meet in front of the playground at Lake Eola.
Only one requirement: dog must be friendly with all dogs and humans!
Every other week we take a group walk around Lake Eola to enjoy the company of good dogs and good owners. It is a great way to network and to foster "positive" socialization for your furry friend!
For more information or to sign up for a Pack Walk click "Join a Pack Walk" button on the home page or click here.
